Why Get Involved?
With the passage of time, many Canadians have no knowledge of the incredible contribution of Our Fallen to this country during times of war. As we approach the 150th Anniversary of Canada in 2017, the citizens of this nation have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help build a national memorial in a world class national park that commemorates the lives of more than 114,000 individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
From coast to coast to coast, we must join together to pledge our commitment to the remembrance of Our Fallen for today and for generations to come.
We have the commitments of support from the Government of Canada, numerous federal ministries such as Heritage Canada and Veterans Affairs Canada, as well the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. With the leadership from our volunteers, Ambassador Major General (Ret’d) Lewis W. MacKenzie and Ambassadeur Colonel (Ret’d) Alain Pellerin.
We are now inviting everyone to join us in the creation of this uniquely Canadian and truly inspiring memorial project.
